This week I finally got a sponsor and I've been trying for months now so I felt a ton of relief. From this almost never ending search, I learned an important life lesson; it's not always about how hard you try or how qualified you are, it's about who you know. Over the past couple of months, I repeatedly called the restaurant Little Tuna and I left numerous messages with several employees but I never got a response. However, during class last week Mr. Abrams called the restaurant and asked for the manager by name and when he was told he was not present, he had a conversation with the woman who answered and was able to "get me in" in no time. After listening to his conversation it became obvious that if you are assertive and you know important people, you almost always get what you need. In the future when I have issues, I've decided that it would be most effective to take Larry's approach to get what I want.
