I plan on going to my friends' fathers viewing on friday, I want to be there for her because when my step father died last year, not a lot of people could make it to his funeral. I know that only time will make her feel better but I hope having some of her friends there will help her feel more at ease. I don't exactly consider this to be a good deed because I feel like a friend would be there no matter what but I'm going to go to show her that I care and I wish the best for her and her family. I know how hard it is to loose your father unexpectedly, it's a horrible feeling and it's important to surround yourself with people who love you; it becomes easier to understand that life goes on and their memory will never be forgotten.

I'm glad to hear that you went to Mr. Keally's funeral. What a tragedy to be taken so young by such a sad, pathetic drunk driver.
Going to a funeral and comforting mourners is a HUGE good deed in my book. The fact that you went through a similar tragedy recently makes it all the more important for you to be there. You can empathize...
